Worst Offenders

Companies ranked by how many separate people reported them — not by how loudly any one person did.

The record is still forming. No company has been named by more than one person yet, so nothing is ranked. That changes the moment two people report the same company.

Ranked by how many separate people reported a company. Repeat reports from the same person count less each time, so one voice can't outrank a crowd. Ties go to whoever has been unanswered longest. Money and hours count only the reports where someone gave a figure, so both totals are lower than the truth — a blank means nobody said, not that it cost nothing. Where a company doesn't set its own prices — a utility whose rates a commission approves, a fee written into law — reports about that price stay on the record but are left out of the count. A company can only be ranked for what it decided.

Something on this list happen to you?

One report is a complaint. A second one is a pattern — and a pattern is what a company can no longer call an isolated incident.
